Most venue searches start the same way: a list of hotels, a series of phone calls, and no idea whether the number you’re quoted is a good one. We built Venuekhoj because we’ve spent years on the other end of those calls.
Why we built this
For five years, Shakti Singh Kavia sat inside a luxury hotel’s sales team, taking those calls.
He saw what happens after a family hangs up. He saw how a quote changes once the hotel knows your budget. He saw which dates trigger a full-property buyout and which don’t. He saw families fall in love with a venue on a site visit, weeks before discovering it wouldn’t allow their caterer.
None of it was dishonest. It was simply a market where one side had all the information.
For the seven years after that, he worked the other side — helping families and companies find and negotiate venues directly. It worked. But it only worked one family at a time, over phone calls and WhatsApp, and it depended entirely on him being personally available.
That’s the limitation Venuekhoj exists to solve. Everything he learned across twelve years — which venues have a room minimum on a muhurat date, which will let an outside caterer in, what a property actually costs in April versus November — is now built into a matching engine. Tell us what you need, and the same filtering that used to take him three days of phone calls happens in ninety seconds.
The knowledge shouldn’t depend on knowing the right person. That’s the whole idea.
How we work
Three rules we won’t break
Your budget stays with us.
We ask for it because we need it to match you accurately. We never pass it to a hotel. A property that knows your ceiling has no reason to quote below it — and we've watched that cost families lakhs.
Five venues, not fifty.
A long list isn't a service, it's homework. We send you a shortlist that already fits your dates, your guest count, your catering requirements and your budget. Everything that doesn't fit has already been removed.
No enquiry goes out without your say-so.
We approach hotels on your behalf, in writing, only after you've approved it. Your phone number doesn't end up on five sales teams' follow-up lists.

The same property behaves completely differently on an auspicious date than on an ordinary one — including how much of it you're required to book. We match against the rules that apply to your date.

Catering as a yes or no
If your family needs an outside Jain caterer, venues that won't permit one don't appear. Not ranked lower — removed.

Who’s behind Venuekhoj
Shakti Singh Kavia
Founder · Twelve years across both sides of luxury hospitality
Shakti spent five years in Sales & Marketing at Taj Hotels, handling weddings and corporate events for leading business families and corporate houses across India. For the seven years since, he has worked independently on luxury hotel bookings and event planning — building direct relationships with sales and marketing leaders across India’s major luxury hotel groups.
He began his career founding an inbound travel venture, followed by three years in banking and outsourcing — where the process discipline behind Venuekhoj’s matching logic first took shape.
At Venuekhoj he leads venue partnerships, curation, and the on-ground relationships that keep our pricing and availability current.
Venuekhoj is operated by Batch11 Ventures Private Limited — named after the 2011 MBA batch of RA Podar Institute of Management, Jaipur.
How the data is built
No scrapers. No feeds. No agency.
Most venue listings you’ll find online were scraped from hotel websites or licensed wholesale from an aggregator. Nobody involved has stood in the property or spoken to its sales team.
Ours weren’t. Every venue on Venuekhoj was added by hand — one phone call, one property, one set of numbers at a time. Room minimums, catering policy, seasonal rates, blocked dates: each one confirmed with someone at the hotel who actually knows the answer. It’s slow, and it’s why we’ve grown venue by venue instead of by the thousand.
The platform itself is built in-house, with no external agency and no outside capital. The practical benefit is speed: when a customer tells us something on this site is wrong, we can fix it the same week. Nothing goes into a vendor’s ticket queue.
No venue pays to appear here or to rank higher. The order you see is the order our matching produced.
Hand-verified data. Machine-fast matching. That combination is the entire product.
Where we are right now
We’re starting with a curated set of venues across Jaipur, Udaipur, Goa and Delhi NCR — properties we’ve either worked with directly or verified ourselves. Every venue on Venuekhoj has been checked for the details that actually decide a booking: room minimums, catering policy, seasonal pricing, blocked dates.
We’d rather be right about sixty venues than approximate about six hundred.
